Yea-h Furniture opens in Parkhurst

Its marketing director and designer, Gregory Widmer says, "Initially our range was aimed at home lovers looking for young living inspiration, town house residents and students wanting small, moveable furniture and accessories like tables, chairs, bar and kitchen stools, trolleys, coat stands and shelving units.

"Since opening the store we have expanded the range to include dining and other furniture to meet market demand, which we call proper furniture."

He explained that many people are looking for designer furniture without the exorbitant price tag and the company bridges this gap by designing, manufacturing and selling trendy and practical off-the-shelf items, manufactured in steel and wood with creative use of colour, at an affordable price.

The furniture, designed by a young design team, is functional, modern and light, for people on the move. The simple, clean cut design pieces are easy to incorporate into the client's next office or living space.

The furniture is manufactured by Collage, which was started by Widmer's parents 25 years ago. Collage has designed interiors for corporates such as Nokia, Vodacom and Incredible Connection and private homes, restaurants, hotels and banks.
