Bowl over Woolworths with winning soup recipe

The winner receives a Woolworths Gift Card for R50 000 and his or her soup will be included in the store's soup range for 2013. In order to make the finals, a soup will need to be visually appealing, have on-trend flavours, a good texture and must appeal to a wide audience.

As an example of a winning recipe, the Durban Curry Soup, which won last year's competition, is in store now. Created by graphic designer Kelly Crystal of Durban, it has an array of flavours and, in keeping with the traditional Durban blend of herbs and spices, has unique sweet chutney undertones, which further complement the hearty winter soup.

Entries close on Friday 18 May 2012. Recipes must be original and should be clear and specific, showing a list of ingredients and weights, with a systematic method of preparation.
