Best butcheries in SA
The 45 winners of the 2009 Cleaver Awards - for meeting and often exceeding consumer expectations - were announced at a formal luncheon held late last week at the Southern Sun, Garden Court, OR Tambo International Airport Hotel in Johannesburg.

National winners
First prize winners in each national category received R20 000 cash prize and a platinum trophy award. The runners-up received R10 000 cash prize and a gold trophy. Three consumers who nominated the three national platinum winners each received a voucher for a R1 000 hamper of beef products from the winning butcher.
