A prodigious president

The effervescent Kate Bapela has accepted an invitation from the PRISA Board to stand as President of PRISA for a second year running. Bapela hopes to focus her efforts for the new year on strengthening PRISA's position and ensuring that the PRISA brand continues to grow.

She will continue to interact with her peers across the African continent to form a strong PR and communication network and ensure that PRISA makes an impact as a professional voice across Africa.

When Bapela took over the reins of the presidency in 2003, she vowed to continue driving PRISA along the path of growth and transformation which had been laid out. Over the last year, she has helped to position PRISA as a critical player in both the African and international arena. The success of PRISA at the World Public Relations festival in Rome has shown the fruits of this undertaking.
