Eurocom expansion

Eurocom PR Network, the European region's largest independent specialist technology PR group, embracing South Africa, has signed up three more affiliates, bringing the total to 50 Eurocom offices worldwide.

The newest affiliate is Mutual PR, which has joined as the Eurocom Affiliate for India. Formed in 1995, Mutual PR has 40 people in its headquarters in New Delhi, and offices in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.

There has been a noticeable increase in interest among US-based PR firms looking for an international capability. In the US, Ripple Effect Communications, Boston, has become a Eurocom Affiliate. The firm was set up by former PR director LifeFX, Valerie Harding and ex-FitzGerald executive Karen Oeser.

As the Chinese market opens up, more international firms are looking for local knowledge and marketing support. Eurocom has strengthened its capability in the region now that Eastwei, China's leading local PR firm, has joined Eurocom. Eastwei has a team of 25 people providing a range of communications services from offices in Beijing and Shanghai. Eastwei already works closely with Upstream Asia, Asia Pacific Partner and regional hub for Eurocom PR Network.

Eurocom was recently confirmed as the largest independent specialist tech PR Network in Europe. According to PR Week in the UK, the Eurocom PR Network is the fifth largest PR Network in Europe, and the only independent European PR network that specialises primarily in technology.

FHC Strategic Communications is Eurocom's South African partner. Tom Burgess, CEO, Eurocom PR Network, comments: "We continue to attract interest from PR firms across the world that realise that our model makes the most sense and has a long-term future. Our challenge is to develop a worldwide brand and seek business from international companies looking for the most cost-effective method to get their message out to multiple countries."
