Reza returns, Reza sharp

Celebrity chef Reza Mahammad, whose flamboyant style attracted thousands of fans to last year's inaugural Sunday Times Food Show, returns to this year's show, which promises to be even bigger and better in 2008.

Susan Russell, GM Marketing at Avusa Media Ltd, says, “Reza has incredible star power underscored by a brilliant sense of humour. His tangible sense of accessibility is what draws people to his TV work, and he's even more fun ‘live', and in person and we couldn't think of a better personality to appeal to our huge range of readers and broader South African society. He's modern, fresh and fun.”

Adding to the excitement, the food show's partner, BBC Food, will also soon be announcing the arrival of two well-known ‘celebri-chefs' in South Africa to participate in the show. At this stage, negotiations are being finalised. Dean Possenniskie, GM and Senior VP, EMEA- BBC Global Channels, said, “We're proud to be working with the Sunday Times Food Show once again – an event that promises to be bigger and better than ever before. We have always been a supporter of the show and we're delighted to be bringing top stars from BBC Food to the hugely popular four-day event.”

Local is equally lekker and the 2008 show will host some of South Africa's finest chefs and leading food personalities. These will include Fortunato Mazzone (Ritrovo), Matthew Gordon (Haute Cabrière Cellar Restaurant), Aristotle Ragavelas (Byzance), Peter Templehoff (Sunday Times Chef of the Year 2007), Peter Goffe-Wood and True Love editor and cookery book author Dorah Sitole, among many others.

So, get ready to sizzle, fry, blanche, chop, shake, and bake! The 2008 Sunday Times Food Show will provide a smorgasbord of food experiences – from products and personalities to entertainment and tastes – to seduce South African senses. This year's bigger-and-better Sunday Times Food Show will also include a mélange of culinary-related lifestyle elements including kitchenware, cookery books, gadgets, appliances, and homeware.
