The Glenfiddich 18 Year Old is married in small batches of no more than 150 casks, built by Glenfiddich's coopers from American and Spanish Oloroso Oak for unrivalled richness, complexity and depth of flavour. The casks are then hand selected by Glenfiddich's Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, to be married in large wooden tuns for a further three months.
The single malt balances notes of oak, baked apple and aromatic cinnamon on the nose. The taste delivers rich dried fruit, candy peel and dates to create a powerful yet sublimely mellow whisky.
Available from May in luxury whisky retail outlets and premium establishments, Glenfiddich 18 Year Old retails for R1,249.
