Sithengi and the Cape Film Commission host Albert Lord

Albert Lord, a highly distinguished veteran within the Hollywood production community, will facilitate an intensive Audio-Production Master Class as a prelude to the awesome line-up of events hosted at the first ever Sithengi Talent Campus, 16 - 20 November 2004, Cape Town.

Lord has served as Sound Editor and Audio Post Supervisor on major motion pictures and has won numerous industry awards from Emmies to Gold Reel awards.

The Master Class programme, hosted by Sithengi in conjunction with the Cape Film Commission, will provide an overview of the theoretical and technical practices of Hollywood audio professionals - the most sought after practitioners in the world.

The areas of operation that will be covered in the Master Class include sound design; track laying and assembly; foley; sound effects, ADR and final mix. Interested parties will unmask the secrets of how to save money on post audio-production; how to plan for location in sound recording and sound design and also learn how to create a new career path in post-audio production. The class is aimed at producers, directors, sound recordists and editors.

Says Seanne Kube, Market Director of the Sithengi Film and Television Market: "We are excited about working with the Cape Film Commission on this master class and we will continue to explore opportunities together that will enhance and enlarge the film industry."

Lord's work includes the episodes of NYPD Blue, Brooklyn Bridge, Twin Peaks and Law & Order (for which he won an Emmy); television movies, Having Our Say, And the Band Played On and Citizen Cohn; and features, Eve's Bayou, The Preacher's Wife and Power Rangers TURBO, among others.

The master class is open to Sithengi members/registrants only.
