South African cuts Nike in Amsterdam
Instead of partying at the Loeries this year, Richard Starkey of post production company Guillotine was hard at work all weekend on the latest Nike ad, featuring our local hero Oscar Pistorius, for Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam. This is the second international Nike commercial Starkey has worked on.

The commercial was directed by Brent Harris through Bonkers Amsterdam and is reported to have received favorable reviews from various international advertising websites.
"Shot on locations in both Johannesburg and Pretoria, (including Pretoria Boy's High, the school Oscar attended), this commercial has the feel of a 1970's winter in Johannesburg. After finishing the offline at Guillotine Post Production in Johannesburg, the commercial, along with Starkey, was then taken to Hectic Electric in Amsterdam where it was finished.
In June, Starkey did on-set editing on a spot for Smuggler NY and Wieden + Kennedy Portland. This commercial has unfortunately not been released in South Africa yet.
