The Schmitz family from Germany owns the estate, described as the only South African vineyard with 100% bush vines. The team, believing in the principle of environmentally friendly farming, has converted its chardonnay and Shiraz vineyards to organically grown blocks and the rest is farmed according to South Africa's IPW Scheme (Integrated Production of Wine).
