Hoopenburg Wines releases three new vintages

The Chardonnay pairs perfectly with salmon, calamari and crayfish and is delicious with Brie and Camembert cheese. It retails nationally for approximately R90. The Pinot Noir, which retails between R90-R95, is an ideal companion to game and lamb dishes and the Merlot goes well with Caesar salad, fresh ciabatta and extra virgin olive oil or crab curry. It retails nationally at approximately R39.

The Schmitz family from Germany owns the estate, described as the only South African vineyard with 100% bush vines. The team, believing in the principle of environmentally friendly farming, has converted its chardonnay and Shiraz vineyards to organically grown blocks and the rest is farmed according to South Africa's IPW Scheme (Integrated Production of Wine).
