Ports star at tasting
Wine Magazine, which judges the different sub-categories of port according to the guidelines laid down by the South African Port Producers' Association, has awarded Boets Nel of De Krans a 5-Star rating for his Cape Tawny Port at a recent tasting.
The De Krans Cape Vintage Reserve Port 2008, scheduled for release later this year, received 4½ stars and the De Krans Cape Vintage Port 2007, received 3 ½ stars.
The Cape Tawny retails for approximately R85 per bottle, Cape Vintage Reserve R145 per bottle and R70 per bottle for Cape Vintage Port.
