P&G takes gold at Edison awards
Procter & Gamble (P&G) took first place in two categories at the 2010 Edison Best New Product Awards held in New York, USA, on 29 April 2010. The awards, which honour innovation in the spirit of America's greatest inventor and marketer Thomas Edison, are heralded as ‘the Oscars of industry'.

In addition, A.G Lafley, former Chairman and CEO of P&G, was recognised with the Edison Achievement Award, one of just a handful of business CEOs to ever receive this honour. The award recognises distinguished business executives who have made a significant and lasting contribution to innovation. In his remarks, Lafley shared his award with everyone at P&G and external business partners, whose focus on consumer-centric, systematic innovation has helped the company bring innovative, life-improving products to consumers.
