Five Roses releases Select African Blend
Five Roses, which has been blending premium teas for over 140 years, has entrusted the task to only six Tea Masters. The sixth and current Tea Master, Dinesh Wijeyawardana from Sri Lanka, has created the Select African Blend specifically for South African tea drinkers, who prefer strong, robust tea.
It is made from the highest quality Kenyan teas and blended with Central and Southern African teas to bring out the body, brightness and distinct taste of African teas. The result is a superior full-bodied blend, which captures the unique flavours of Africa in a refreshingly strong rich amber coloured tea.
As with all its teas, Wijeyawardana confirms the quality of each teabag with his personal signature on the pack. He corroborates, “This blend is made up of high quality teas from selected origin in Africa to bring out the robust taste of African teas. If the rest of the world can enjoy quality African blends why not South Africans?”
