Durban supermarket gutted

A Durban supermarket was gutted by a fire on Tuesday morning, police said.

Inspector Michael Read said the incident took place at the Supersave supermarket in Lancers Road at 2am.

"Fire officials suspect an electrical fault was the cause."

No injuries were reported but Read said there was nothing left of the store.
