It's Gold after Gold for Grande Provence

Grande Provence has won a Double Gold and four gold medals at the 2015 Vitis Vinifera Awards. The Double Gold medal was for Grande Provence Pinot Noir 2014 and Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 clinched a Gold. Three wines in the Angels Tears range also won gold medals: Angels Tears Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Angels Tears Muscat d'Alexandrie/Chenin Blanc 2015, and Angels Tears Rosé 2015.
It's Gold after Gold for Grande Provence

All entries for this local wine competition were tasted blind by a panel of judges comprising consumers and wine commentators.

The grapes chosen for the Grande Provence Pinot Noir 2014 hail from one of the most sought-after vineyards in the Franschhoek valley located high up on south-west-facing slopes of the Franschhoek mountains. The aromas of strawberries and red cherries jump from the glass, while ripe berry fruit follows through onto an elegant, juicy palate to create a beautiful balance between the summery perfume and well integrated oak flavours of this velvety, soft wine.

Flaunting a full-bodied character with concentrated fruit flavours, the Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 has an elegant, rewarding finish with a touch of mint. This versatile food wine is a great match for poultry and red meat.

Hints of green pepper

With upfront fruit on the nose and palate, supported by hints of green pepper, the Angels Tears Sauvignon Blanc 2015 is a well-matched wine companion for light seafood and chicken dishes.

The Angels Tears Muscat d'Alexandrie/Chenin Blanc 2015 is a deliciously fruity white wine with upfront honey and spicy Muscat flavours on the nose and palate, complemented by tropical flavours of Chenin Blanc.

The lively sweet strawberry flavours and fruity finish of the Angels Tears Rosé 2015 makes this wine a wonderful taste partner for lightly seasoned seafood dishes and salads.

The Grande Provence and Angels Tears wines are available at leading wine shops nationwide and can be purchased online at www.grandeprovence.co.za. The Grande Provence Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Grande Provence Pinot Noir 2014 and the Angels Tears range sell for R140, R120 and R35 per bottle, respectively, at the cellar door.
