The project asks Africans, why they are proud to be African. "That way we make people reflect on their positive inner resources, which symbolise the strength of a nation or a continent," Pippan explained. "These resources function as tools to design the future, perfectly matching the festival's 2016 theme Design is for Tomorrow."
The project was first launched at the African Nations Football Championship CHAN in 2014, with its spectacular balloon release broadcast worldwide.
