      NB: Own vehicle is required:

Private Property is a South African property marketplace that connects people with homes and helps property professionals grow their businesses through digital products, services and marketing solutions.
We’re looking for an experienced sales professional who knows how to open doors, build lasting client relationships and turn opportunities into results. If you enjoy being out in the market, understanding what customers need and helping their businesses grow, this could be your next move.

      About the role:

Reporting to the national sales manager, you’ll drive new business and grow an existing client portfolio across your region. You’ll manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presenting solutions to onboarding, retention and ongoing account growth.
This role combines proactive sales with hands-on relationship management. You’ll become a trusted partner to your clients while taking ownership of your pipeline, revenue growth and sales targets.

      What you’ll do:
      • Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, client visits and networking.
      • Build and grow your client portfolio, identifying relevant upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
      • Use a consultative sales approach to recommend products and services that address each client’s business needs.
      • Deliver product demonstrations and training to help clients get the most from Private Property’s solutions.
      • Maintain an active sales pipeline, accurate CRM records and regular reporting against targets.
      • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding, resolve client queries and support retention.
      • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activity to strengthen your sales approach.
      What you’ll bring:
      • At least 5 years’ external sales experience, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
      • Strong prospecting, negotiation and closing skills, supported by the ability to build lasting business relationships.
      • Confidence using data, sales reports and CRM systems to manage performance and identify opportunities.
      • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
      • Experience working remotely, with the self-discipline, organisation and time management to work independently.
      • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
      • A valid driver’s licence, your own reliable vehicle and flexibility to travel within the region and nationally when required.
Property industry experience and a relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
      Why join private property:

You’ll join a collaborative team that values fresh ideas, recognises contribution and supports your development. We offer a competitive package and the tools and support you need to succeed.

      Sales management:
      • Drive revenue growth and achieve agreed sales targets by proactively managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to conversion, onboarding and ongoing account growth.
      • Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities by actively prospecting for potential customers, understanding their business requirements and positioning Private Property’s products and services as solutions that deliver measurable value.

      • Apply a consultative sales approach by identifying customer needs, business challenges and growth opportunities, and recommending appropriate solutions that support customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth.
      • Deliver product training, education and business-development sessions to customers to demonstrate how Private Property’s products and services can contribute to their business performance and financial growth.
      • Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity, proactively identifying gaps, risks and opportunities and taking corrective action to ensure monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives are achieved.
      • Develop and maintain strong market and competitor intelligence, monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, new products and changing market conditions to identify opportunities and strengthen Private Property’s competitive positioning.
      • Represent private property at sales meetings, client engagements, networking events, conferences, exhibitions and training sessions, actively using these opportunities to generate leads, develop relationships and secure new business.
      • Travel within the designated region as required to meet customers and business partners, develop new opportunities, strengthen existing relationships and support revenue-generating initiatives.
      • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless sales process, effective customer onboarding and successful delivery of solutions, while maintaining accountability for the commercial outcome.

      • Managing customer cancellations and ensuring all required processes, documentation and system updates are completed within agreed timelines.
      • Maintaining accurate records of all customer interactions, communications, commitments and follow-up actions.
      • Monitoring outstanding customer requirements and ensuring that all sales-related queries and actions are followed through to resolution.
      • Assisting with the administration and recovery of outstanding customer accounts and bad debt, where required.
      • Addressing and coordinating customer and business-related queries, ensuring that matters are directed to the appropriate internal teams where necessary.
      • Providing timely administrative, technical and operational support to customers through personal engagement and designated business support channels.
      • Coordinating with internal sales, finance, onboarding, support and other relevant teams to ensure seamless execution of customer and sales-related processes.
      • Providing timely and accurate feedback to customers and colleagues on the progress and status of outstanding matters.
      • Ensuring all sales administration processes comply with company policies, procedures and required service levels.
