AI Engineer

A leading consulting firm is looking for a highly motivated AI Engineer to design, build, deploy, and optimize intelligent solutions powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning technologies. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable AI applications, transform complex datasets into meaningful business insights, and deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that address client challenges and create measurable value. You will also be responsible for ensuring AI systems are reliable, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, train, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models.
• Build and maintain AI-powered applications, including natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, recommendation systems, and generative AI solutions.
• Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyse large datasets to support model development and optimisation.
• Perform feature engineering and data transformation to improve model performance.
• Deploy AI models into production environments using APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms.
• Monitor model performance, accuracy, and scalability, implementing retraining and optimisation strategies as required.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into AI solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay current with emerging AI technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years' experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, Data Science, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
• Experience building and deploying AI applications using Python and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, and Keras.
• Experience developing REST APIs and integrating AI solutions into enterprise applications using FastAPI or Flask.
• Experience deploying and managing AI solutions on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git/GitHub, and Linux-based environments.
• Exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP), Computer Vision, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Reinforcement Learning will be advantageous
