Head of Growth (Commission + Equity)

The Local Agency (TLA) is looking for a commercially driven Head of Growth to help scale one of Africa’s fastest-growing creator and culture businesses.

We work at the intersection of creator marketing, social content, culture and brand strategy, helping brands connect with audiences through creator-led campaigns, content production and cultural experiences.

As our Head of Growth, you will own new business development and strategic partnerships. You’ll work directly with the founder to identify opportunities, build relationships with brands and agencies, develop proposals and close new business.

This is not a traditional corporate sales role. We’re looking for someone excited by building something meaningful from the ground up.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding TLA’s client portfolio while helping shape the future commercial strategy of the business.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business opportunities with brands and agencies.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline.
• Lead outbound prospecting and relationship building.
• Develop strategic partnerships.
• Present TLA’s services and solutions to prospective clients.
• Prepare proposals and commercial pitches.
• Negotiate and close new business opportunities.
• Work closely with strategy and delivery teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
• Help refine TLA’s commercial offering as the business grows.
• Identify new revenue opportunities, partnerships and markets.
• Represent TLA at networking events and industry functions where appropriate.

Requirements

Skills required

• Proven B2B sales or business development experience.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Experience selling marketing, advertising, media or digital solutions is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers.
• Self-motivated and highly entrepreneurial.
• Comfortable working independently.
• CRM and pipeline management experience.
• Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
• Passion for creator economy, digital marketing and African culture.
