Role Summary

This is the role that keeps the wheels turning - literally. As Transport & Logistics Coordinator, you’ll plan and manage every delivery, dispatch and driver across our client’s fleet, making sure stock moves safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. You’re the central point of contact between the Sales Team, Warehouse Team, Drivers and Customers, and often the first friendly face customers see when collecting from the warehouse. If you love structure, take ownership of problems before they escalate, and thrive on keeping a busy operation running like clockwork, this is your moment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate all daily deliveries, supplier collections and interbranch transfers.
• Allocate vehicles and drivers to maximise utilisation and keep transport costs under control.
• Act as the go-to contact for Sales Representatives, reviewing and booking every delivery request promptly.
• Keep Sales Reps and customers informed of delivery schedules, delays and any issues throughout the day.
• Welcome and assist customers collecting orders from the warehouse, ensuring a professional experience.
• Coordinate dispatch and loading activities with the Warehouse and Floor Managers, following all SOPs.
• Manage the company’s vehicle fleet, including servicing, licensing, inspections and roadworthiness.
• Allocate work to drivers and monitor their performance, punctuality and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate transport, fleet and POD records, and prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and company procedures at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in transport, logistics, dispatch or fleet coordination.
• Strong planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills.
• Confident communicator, comfortable liaising with sales teams, warehouse staff, drivers and customers.
• Working knowledge of fleet management, vehicle compliance and dispatch operations.
• Proactive, organised and calm under pressure, with a “same-day response” mindset.
• Comfortable taking ownership of a fast-moving operation and making sound calls under pressure.
