The flagship retail space marks the company's first dedicated experience store in South Africa and reflects TCL's growing investment in one of its key strategic markets.
Designed as an immersive technology destination, the store allows customers to explore, test and experience the brand's latest innovations before making a purchase.
Unlike traditional electronics retail environments, the TCL Experience Store has been created to give shoppers hands-on access to the company's expanding portfolio of televisions, home appliances and smart technologies.
Visitors can engage directly with products, receive expert advice and experience the technology in a real-world setting rather than relying solely on online product descriptions or in-store displays.
According to Alvin Chen, general manager of TCL South Africa, the launch represents an important milestone for the brand's local growth strategy.

"South Africa is an important market for TCL, and opening our first Experience Store here represents a significant milestone for the brand."
He says the concept is centred on helping customers better understand how technology fits into their everyday lives.
"Technology is best understood when you can see it, touch it and experience it for yourself. We want consumers to be able to walk into the store, explore our products, ask questions and discover how our innovations can fit into their everyday lives."
The experience store features TCL's latest consumer electronics and home appliance portfolio, with a particular focus on the company's premium television technology.
Beyond televisions, visitors can explore TCL's growing range of smart home appliances, including AI-powered washing machines, refrigerators and air conditioners.
The store also showcases washing machines featuring what TCL describes as the world's largest drum available in a standard 24-inch front-load washing machine.
The launch reflects broader changes in how consumers shop for increasingly sophisticated technology products.
As premium televisions and connected home appliances become more advanced, TCL believes many purchasing decisions are best made through physical interaction rather than online research alone.

Chen says experiential retail helps customers appreciate features that are difficult to communicate digitally.
"Consumers today have more choice than ever, but with that comes the need for better ways to understand what they're buying."
He adds that seeing the difference in display quality, experiencing the scale of a 98-inch television or interacting with smart appliance features creates greater confidence during the buying process.
The opening of the Cedar Square Experience Store forms part of TCL's broader strategy to expand its presence in South Africa's competitive consumer electronics market.
By investing in a dedicated branded retail environment, the company is strengthening its direct engagement with consumers while showcasing its latest global innovations to the local market.
The store will serve both existing TCL customers and first-time buyers, offering product demonstrations, personalised advice and a comprehensive view of the brand's expanding technology ecosystem.
As TCL continues to grow its South African footprint, the launch of its first Experience Store signals a new chapter for the brand—one focused on immersive retail experiences, customer education and bringing global technology innovations closer to South African consumers.
