South Side drops watermelon flavoured hard soda as it reaches 2,000 stores

The hard soda brand has added Watermelon Twist to its line-up, bringing a sweet, juicy watermelon flavour to the range. The new release follows a teasing social media campaign that had fans guessing what South Side had up its sleeve.

A new twist on a summer favourite

Watermelon Twist is all about that familiar watermelon taste, with a crisp finish and balanced sweetness. South Side says the flavour has been made without an artificial taste, keeping things fresh and easy-drinking.

It joins the brand’s growing range as South Side continues to make its way onto more shelves around the country.

The new flavour also arrives shortly after the brand expanded its national distribution to more than 2,000 retail outlets, making it easier to get your hands on a can when the watermelon craving hits.

And this might not be the last new flavour

The launch comes after South Side says its community has been asking for more flavours, with Watermelon Twist being the latest answer.

“We've been listening to our community, and the demand for new flavours has been loud and clear,” says director Trent Varejes.

“Watermelon Twist proves we're not slowing down. We're evolving, staying irreverent and giving our community exactly what they've been asking for. This is just the warm-up.”

If that last line is anything to go by, there could be more new flavours on the horizon.
