In my current role as Fleet Safety Supervisor for SAB, I am responsible for the Northern Cape district consisting of three distribution centers with a fleet base of 21 trucks, 44 trailers, and 21 forklifts. My role is to ensure the availability of a roadworthy fleet and to maintain compliance with all legislative and internal safety and health requirements.
I have previously worked in sales for over 7 years and acquired skills in customer account management, relationship management, sales management, channel, and outlet execution, and people management. I looked after 4 geographical areas with a base of 104 customers, consisting of different classes of trade in which my role was to maximize sales volume and market share, negotiate pricing, availability of our brand portfolio, visibility and shelve space, among other things.
