Show profile Hide profileCurrently, I am working as an Internal Auditor at Land Bank since the beginning of March 2016. My highest qualification is B-Tech in Internal Auditing (2009) from Vaal University of Technology. I started my career as an Internal Audit intern with Land Bank, where I got the opportunity of being confident on interacting with different Managers/ General Managers (Process Owners) of the department and furthermore, I have learnt and understood process controls the Bank have in place. Working at Land Bank for the past seven (7) years gave me lots of valuable opportunities and growth.
Some of my responsibilities (but not limited) on audits is the following:
Planning and preparation of scope letters for audit projects.
Discussion of the processes to be audited/ reviewed and document the process narratives/ flow, risk and control matrix and audit programs.
Identify risks and assess them.
Execution of internal audit testing in terms of internal audit standards.
Report writing: Identification and documentation of audit issues and recommendations; and discussion thereof with management.
Provide assurance on Integrated Report.
Retrieve (from CURA) risk register of the business unit being audited.
Review working papers prepared by the Internal Audit intern before second review by Senior Internal Auditor.
