To whom it my concern

My name is: Gert du Bruyn.

I have been working within the construction industry for the past thirty eight years; eight of which I worked as a maintenance manager for a steel pipe manufacturing company and six of which I owned and operated my own kitchen manufacturing and installation business.

As a Contracts Manager I have in my thirty eight year career overseen and managed the construction of several buildings types, some of which include:

• Residential buildings,
• Structural steel framed buildings with floor areas in excess of 3500m2; &
•Concrete framed structures such as shopping malls with floor areas in excess 15000m2.
• Bridge structures.

I also have a great deal of experience in Civil Engineering works such as road construction due in small part to projects I have completed previously but due in most part to my participation in the Rehabilitation of the N11 highway in Kwazulu Natal where I have been working for two years.

Within all the projects I have participated in, I have performed programming and planning and have had to manage the execution of works by various Sub-Contractors.
• Bricklayers
• Plasterers
• Steel fixers
• Tenant installations and more.

I am a trustworthy and a sober person, and am willing to take on any project no matter the size. I am capable of performing my duties without supervision. I am self motivated and determined to accomplish the task at hand. I interact well with others and have built up good working relations within the construction industry. If required I am willing and able to control multiple projects at the same time.
