Ravi Naidoo takes reins at job creation NPO, YES
The Youth Employment Service (YES), a business-driven NPO that works to tackle South Africa's youth unemployment crisis, has named veteran social development specialist, Ravi Naidoo, as the organisation's new chief executive.
Naidoo has spent over 25 years working with social change and impact programmes.
He takes the reins at a time when YES is playing an increasing role in addressing South Africa's scourge of youth unemployment. Since being founded 138 weeks ago as a joint national initiative between business, government and labour, YES has worked with over 1,611 South African companies to create more than 60,625 youth work experiences, with no government funding.
