SARYEF 2007 in need of sponsorship

Southern Africa Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Forum is a regional initiative to bring young and aspiring entrepreneurs in the SADC region to learn, create networks and forge business linkages. The Business Dialogue Forum (the organisers) requests interested parties to sponsor the forum to be held on 29 May to 1 June 2007 in Gaborone. Sponsorship packages available on request.

The purpose of the Southern Africa Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Forum (SARYEF) is to gather youth all over the region to exchange ideas and experience of the development and implementation of youth entrepreneurship strategies in order to reduce youth unemployment in their respective countries. The objective, therefore, is to offer new insights from many perspectives in how to develop and implement entrepreneurship strategies for young people. It is aimed at the formulation of innovative plan of actions which they should implement in accordance to their respective country conditions.

The Business Dialogue Forum is committed to facilitate this program annually to give room for young entrepreneurs, NGO’s, youth activists and all parties involved in youth entrepreneurship activities to exchange ideas and experiences and eventually formulate strategies to achieve equal economic development.

The Southern Africa Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Forum is a Business Dialogue Forum initiative that will be held annually across SADC member states that forms a key component of the forum’s strategy to build the culture of entrepreneurship among the Southern African youth.

SARYEF 2007 theme

The theme for the Southern Africa Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Forum (SARYEF) is "Building a Culture of Entrepreneurship: Stimulating Regional Economic Growth."

This theme has been selected in realisation of the need to develop the capacities and capabilities of young people, to develop their entrepreneurship skills and create more job opportunities. The SARYEF will therefore address issues such as entrepreneurship, ICT training and education, rural development through entrepreneurship, skills development and regional collaboration.
