Graphic Designer

Parklands College is seeking a talented and experienced Graphic Designer to join our marketing and communications team. This is a hands-on creative role suited to a designer who is confident working across print and digital, can manage multiple projects and deadlines and has a strong eye for detail and visual storytelling.

Requirements and qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a design role 
• Experience designing magazines, brochures, prospectuses or other multi-page publications.
• Must be Mac literate and have advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong understanding of design, layout, typography, composition, visual hierarchy, branding and DTP
• Excellent knowledge of pre-press, print production and preparing print-ready artwork
• Experience creating digital content for websites, social media and email marketing
• AI expertise is essential, with confidence using AI and emerging creative technologies within the design workflow
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or PowerPoint/Keynote
• Excellent English language, grammar and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of WordPress and/or basic HTML/CSS will be an advantage
