Maintenance Operator

Company: Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway
Location: Hartbeespoort, North West
Reports to: Facilities Manager

Qualifications and skills
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills: 

• Grade 11
• Experience 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar field
• Experience with specific equipment or machinery relevant to the industry may be required
• Good interpersonal relationships
• Honesty and trustworthy
• Ability to handle pressure
• Electrical skills – Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting
• Strength and stamina – Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments
• Adaptability to different working arears and conditions
• Must be willing to work shifts
• Must have own accommodation and transport

Essential duties and responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Keep the facility running and prepare any problems when they discover before they have a chance to worsen.
• Identify possible unforeseen circumstances and plan alternative action in advance.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and take appropriate
• Proper use of equipment and chemicals and company policies and procedures
• Use correct working methods according to ISO and HACCP standards.
• Attending relevant safety representative and committee meetings if required to do so.
