Senior Medical Copywriter

Job description

• To gain an understanding of all clients and their brands
• Research and understanding of each job
• Obtain clinical trials in order to carry out the requested brief
• Medical copywriting for various brands within the agency i.e. from unscheduled brands campaigns to S6 brands
• Medical copywriting for various elements i.e. detail aids, patient leaflets, drop cards, consumer leaflets, websites, CPD’s and cpd questionnaires.
• Referencing and highlighting and compiling reference packs – annotating/marking every trial clearly, to match copy on the actual artwork
• Medical copy proofing
• Liaising with studio on jobs in terms of strategy and copy
• Brainstorming with studio on campaigns and concepts
• Client meetings and briefings
• Strategic and clinical input on brand campaigns
• Liasing with clients on a clinical level when there are queries

• Medical degree

Requirements

• Copywriting skills and experience (at least five years experience in writing medical copy)
• Able to read, interpret and write good copy from clinical trials
• Leadership qualities
• Sound project management skills
• Sound communication skills
• Strategic skills (understanding of client category & market trends and clinical knowledge)
• Ability to work in fast-paced, demanding and challenging environment
• Strong organisation skills,
• Good verbal and written communication skills,
• Good people skills,
• Good negotiation skills,
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office (Word and Excel),
• Must be well-organised, methodical, hardworking, proactive and adaptable,
• Tenacious, hardworking, with excellent follow through ability,
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
