Superman is back, with South African film industry support
The London premiere of Superman: Requiem, a new feature-length high production value Superman fan-film, not only celebrates the release of the film, which has taken 18 months to produce, raises funds for the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation, but also salutes the South African film industry.
The film has been produced by South African Daniella Pellegrini (former 94.7 Highveld Stereo and DSTV presenter, VO artist on SABC1), UK producer Tony Cook and is written, produced and directed by Gene Fallaize who spends his time between LA and London. Another South African talent is Dean Konidaris of Darkside Sound Design in Joburg (who is also head of audio at Alight Productions), who has been involved in post-production on the film as the dialogue editor.
The film will be released publicly online on 11 November 2011 on the official website at www.themanofsteelisback.com, hosted by OpenFilm, on Facebook and YouTube.
