Last day to vote for South African film

Today, Tuesday, 19 July 2011, is the last day on which the South African public can vote online for the SA film 'One Word', submitted in the Possible Futures Film Contest. The Upliftment Programme (UP), a non-profit organisation supporting everyone who wants to share joy, created the film.
Last day to vote for South African film

Its entry stated 'Joy is one of our most inspired and viral emotions - when you're joyful and share your joy, you create a ripple effect of joy that reaches so many... and joyful people are peace loving people...'

UP has been actively sharing joy since 2003. Its main outreach has been to the children in hospitals and institutions, where trained UP volunteer care clowns commit to their local hospital/home every week and share joy there with the children, parents and staff. Currently in South Africa, there are over 75 volunteer care clowns and a monthly Joyful Upliftment of approximately 3500 people.

The Possible Futures Film Contest is a new international film event challenging storytellers of the world to create a new vision for the future of humanity - one that will become defined by our relationships to human justice, environmental sustainability, peace and individual fulfilment.
