Movie magic at Killarney Mall opens this weekend

The new Killarney Mall CineCentre, Johannesburg, finally opens to the public on Friday, 6 May 2011, with a 708-seat, 5-cinema complex that has the latest in 3D technology plus state-of-the-art Dolby Digital surround sound, including a CinePremiere theatre with super deluxe seating and very competitive pricing.

The cinema complex, run by South Africa's independent cinema exhibition and entertainment company, the Avalon Group, offers competitive pricing and Budget Tuesdays for 2D, 3D and CinePremiere shows.

It also claims to be the only 3D cinema multiplex in South Africa that has the ability to screen 3D movies at any of its theatres.

"We are delighted to offer shoppers a new and exceptional level of entertainment variety which enhances the overall Killarney Mall shopping experience and brings customers comprehensive leisure variety," says Debra Sharnock, Killarney Mall centre manager.

Five new restaurants are also opening up at the revamped Killarney Mall.

The opening cinema lineup consists of Thor; Arthur; From Prada to Nada; and Fast & Furious: Fast Five.
