Award-winning Cannes ad to screen in local cinema
The advert received international acclaim this year after winning South Africa's first gold Cannes Lion in film in 12 years. "This was shown at the Vienna AIDS conference in July and is just the most uplifting and positive piece of communication as it shows that with ARVs, the effects of AIDS can be reversed," says Louise Johnston, business director at Ogilvy Johannesburg.
As part of its CSR and in line with the Lead SA initiative, Cinemark will be screening the advert to assist The Topsy Foundation with its two-fold objective: to create awareness around ARVs' effectiveness as well as to help the NGO raise funds to continue its valuable work.
