Markex visits the Cape
Markex & World of Events Cape 2005 opens its doors at the Cape Town International Convention Centre to Western Cape marketeers between 3 and 5 August. In the Cape for the second year running as a result of the growing demand in the region, the exhibition promises new ideas and suppliers.
The 2005 Gauteng show, incorporating the new Business of Sport exhibition, which took place at the Sandton Convention Centre between 7 and 9 June, broke all previous attendance figures by attracting 10 440 trade guests over the three days. This visitor figure was 10% up on that of the 2004 show.
The only event of its kind endorsed by the Marketing Federation of South Africa (MFSA), SAACI and EXSA, Markex and World of Events has grown consistently in the marketplace since its beginnings in Johannesburg 19 years ago.
The increasing numbers of businesses based in the Cape, coupled with the trend to employ new and diverse mediums and methods of targeting, winning, communicating with, and retaining customers in today's competitive marketing environment sets the stage for an even better second appearance this year.
The exhibition will attract anyone involved in the Western Cape marketing, promotions and special events industries - advertising executives, brand managers, business owners, creative directors, designers, sales and marketing executives and consultants, PR practitioners - and will present them with the opportunity to discover the latest products, equipment, systems and services that are now available to them.
