Whether you're a dog person or a cat person - or prefer your best friends scaly, feathered or finned - come along to the World of Dogs and Cats and Pet Expo (WODAC), taking place from 22-24 July at the Gallagher Convention Centre.

And let's not forget the ultimate showdown: it'll be claws and paws at dawn; plus a parade of oh-so-superior felines in the Champion of Champions Cat Show.
There are regular arena displays and activities - from funky dog dancing to a pet fashion show for pampered pooches, pussycats and other four-legged fashionistas.
You can also talk to dog and cat breeders, as well as breeders of other pets, who will be able to enlighten you about the best breed to suit your lifestyle and family circumstances. Obtaining sound expert advice on the type of pet to welcome into your home is extremely important for potential owners, as each breed and species has its own distinctive characteristics.
The expo is committed to responsible pet ownership and animal welfare organisations will be on hand to advise you on how to adopt a pet that suits your lifestyle, your home, your family and your pocket.
If you love your pets - and animals in general - or are in the market for a trusty new companion, then be sure to join other like-minded people in exploring this family-friendly expo.
Head down to the Gallagher Convention Centre from Friday, 22 July 2011 to Sunday, 24 July 2011 between 10am and 6pm. Regretfully, visitors are not allowed to bring their pets.
