Africa Tech Week Awards open for nominations

Nominations for the second annual Africa Tech Week Awards celebration are now open.

Taking place in Cape Town on 13-14 May 2020, the awards ceremony, which places South Africa on the tech global map, recognises and celebrates those companies, and individuals which have demonstrated excellence in the area of innovation and development.

Last year's inaugural Africa Tech Week event saw a field of over 100 nominees competing for eight coveted awards. This year the categories have been bumped up to 14 - listed below - and include Fintech and AI Technology.

Our 2019 Africa Tech Week Woman of the Year winner, Siddika Osman: Managing Director of Nkgwete IT Solutions, had this to say about Africa Tech Week Awards: "The Tech Week was a fantastic event which provided a platform to interact with technology leaders and learn from the best in the industry. Entries close on 3 February 2020. Winners will be announced at a gala dinner held on 14 May 2020 in Cape Town.
