Ivan Bonner, Compass Group Southern Africa's new CEO.
Specialist outsourced contract caterer, Compass Group South Africa, has announced the appointment of Ivan Bonner as the new CEO of Compass Group Southern Africa as of 1 October 2007. He will succeed André du Chenne, current CEO, who announced his intention to retire earlier this year.
As Compass Group COO since 2002 and with over 19 years in the company, Bonner brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with in-depth knowledge of the contract food services industry. Prior to his appointment as COO, Bonner held a number of managerial positions throughout the group, and was appointed as sector MD for the coastal region in 1999 before moving into his COO position.
