    Zuma "considering" resignation letter

    President Jacob Zuma is currently considering the resignations of the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) chairman and deputy.

    According to the Presidency, President Zuma received a joint letter of resignation from chairman, Ben Ngubane and deputy chairman, Thami ka Plaatjie.

    News of their resignations emerged on Monday (11 March). Last week, Communications Minister Dina Pula pleaded for the board to resolve its internal disagreements.

    The media has been reporting tensions at the public broadcaster after Ngubane and the board fell out over the future of acting chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng who was released off his duties.
