Turkish Airlines is investing heavily in expansion into Africa, and in South Africa it now has year-round, daily direct flights from Cape Town and Johannesburg to Istanbul, and travels to Istanbul from Durban via Johannesburg five times a week.
Roundtrip flights between Istanbul and Conakry will be operated two times per week on Mondays and Thursdays in both directions.
This news comes hot on the heels of the announcement that Turkish Airlines is flying from Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Durban to Havana, Cuba three times a week.
