Tarkan Diraz appointed GM of 3fifteen's mobile division
Diraz brings to his new role a decade-plus of knowledge in user experience, interface design, and custom development. He replaces former GM for mobile, Richard Pierce-Jones, who has relocated from 3fifteen in Joburg to its Cape Town branch.
Diraz joined 3fifteen in 2002 as a developer. He has since been promoted through various roles, including development manager and digital marketing manager, and has overseen the development of e-commerce and social media solutions. This experience has given him the depth of knowledge necessary for the role of GM for the organisation's mobile division.
Creating simple, solid and beautiful solutions
Diraz said: "We are focusing on growing our mobile business in line with the rapid adoption of smartphones and tablets in the South African market. 3fifteen also has skills in technologies available to all mobile GSM devices, such as SMS and USSD, as we recognise that not every South African consumer has a smartphone as yet.
"Smartphone and tablet solutions are an important market for us, and we are focused squarely on creating simple, solid and beautiful solutions that generate value for our clients. As a platform for content consumption, communication and commerce, the mobile phone offers a wealth of great opportunities for 3fifteen and our customers, both within privately held enterprises and the public sector."
3fifteen Mobile delivers mobile solutions across the dominant smartphone and tablet platforms including Apple iOS, Blackberry, Android, and Windows. Additionally, a keen focus for the company has been building its knowledge-base in the custom development arena, which adds value to clients on the integration and architecture front.
