AFDA, the South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, is offering bursaries in its fully accredited Bachelor of Commerce (Business innovation) or the Bachelor of Computer Technology degrees at its Durban, Cape Town or Johannesburg campuses.
AFDA scholarships open for application

“This year we are seeking out smart and passionate individuals who are interested in being part of the new global economy of the world that is driven by digital technology,” says ABE chairman, Garth Holmes. “Business is changing, and it is changing fast, creating new disruptive business opportunities that are enabled and scaled through an ever expanding technology, making it critical to train young people to seize these opportunities and challenges in a fruitful and productive way.”

The course is designed along the same unique outcomes based and socialised learning platforms of the film, television and performance schools, with a bias towards the convergence of various creative industries and the IoT (internet of things) phenomena. The value of the scholarship is part or full value of three consecutive years of the course’s tuition fees only, from January 2017 – December 2019.

Closing date for applications is 31 August 2016. For more information, go to www.afda.co.za/apply.
