Amnesty gets 75 Dylan covers by 80 artists
Channel24 says a total of 80 international artists - including 92-year-old folksinger Pete Seeger - will cover 75 Bob Dylan songs on a special four-disk album and all the proceeds will go to Amnesty International.
Channel24 also reports the organisation as saying that all the songs on the CD collection will be new or previously unreleased versions of Dylan songs, with the exception of the title cut Chimes of Freedom. Pete Seeger performs Forever Young backed by a children's chorus.
The disc is being released to commemorate Amnesty International's 50th anniversary.
