The four-piece rock band from England will be bringing their popular post-punk and New Wave sound to the stages of South Africa for the Rocking Festivals. With many musical influences, New Young Pony Club find it difficult to describe themselves having simply said: "We marry the dance ethic with the pop ethic, and make something that you can dance to and sing along to."

World's biggest festivals

After forming in 2004, New Young Pony Club have played some of the world's biggest festivals including V-Fest, Wireless, Lovebox, Rock Werchter, as well as hitting Leeds and Reading Festivals later this year before blowing up on Rocking the Daisies' main stage on Friday night and Rocking the Gardens on Saturday night.

The final line-up will be posted on www.rockingthedaisies.com and www.rockingthegardens.com shortly.

In the meantime go to the websites to register with the Nokia Music Store (www.music.nokia.co.za) before you buy your festival ticket online. You will then receive your free official festival T-shirt. Limited numbers available.
