The London dance music duo of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe will be having a two-date, two city tour of South Africa, appearing at The Waterfront Lookout, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, on Friday, 3 September and Sky Raiders Hanger at Rand Airport, Germiston, on Saturday, 4 September, 2010.
They have a Grammy award, multiple Brit and MTV Awards, four best-selling albums and a string of dance-floor-filling anthems and will be embarking on a two-day, two-city South African DJ Tour supported by SA's finest: 5FM's Roger Goode, Euphonik, Milkshake, Poppy, Grant & Anele, along with Flash Republic (live), HouseHold Funk, Ryan Dent, and loads more, as well as Cape Town's own Goodluck, whose name was inspired by the London duo.
Kick-off at The Waterfront Lookout
The DJ tour will kick-off at The Waterfront Lookout located at the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, on Friday, 3 September. This brand new venue comprises a huge marquee structure with outer deck overlooking the ocean. With state-of-the-art sound stage and lighting specifically set up for this event, as well as a huge bar area, Cape Town patrons will experience a night out they won't soon forget.
Sky Raiders Hanger at Rand Airport, Germiston, will be the location for the Johannesburg show on Saturday, 4 September, and is synonymous with world-class dance acts, most recently Paul Oakenfold and Tiesto. The venue will host two floors with the main floor being extended by 50 percent, secured parking, gaming zone, ATM facilities, general access lounge area, various food vendors (Anat, Chip n Dip, Prego's etc) and an increased bar area.
5FM's Roger Goode will broadcast live between 7 to 10pm, Friday evening from The Lookout, then again for the Saturday Surgery from 7 to 10pm at Sky Raiders. Listen out for more Basement Jaxx content on-air, including a special Ultimix@6 mix and interview with DJ Fresh.
