The musical treatment of producer Peach van Pletzen, as well as Francois van Coke's unique rendition, makes the song a remarkable tribute to a South African icon.

About the inclusion of Skadu's Teen Die Muur on "Skop, Skiet & Donner", bassist Wynand Myburgh commented: "We relate to Koos' work - especially his lyrics. We've always like this song and thought it could work well with a modern sound." Producer Peach van Pletzen's musical approach that, among others, includes various sound effects and a hypnotic, trip-hop beat, further adds to the track's dark-ish charm. Referring to the musical treatment, Francois van Coke noted: "The orginal song was written in a major key. We changed it to a minor, as we found it worked better for us with the mood of the lyrics."

The music video for Skadu's Teen Die Muur was, once again, produced by Louis Minnaar, who is also responsible for the recent Van Coke Kartel music videos of "Maniac" and "Voor Ons Stof Word" (the latter recently nominated for a 2010 Huisgenoot Tempo Music Award). According to Minnaar, the music video was a "a sort of homage to Koos du Plessis. I grew up with his music and wanted to do something that would compliment Van Coke Kartel's version, but would also honour Koos. I therefore wanted to lend a certain nostalgia to the images. There is also a shot of an open book, which shows Koos's face, and the poem on the floor. I did this to try and convey the song and its video as something as poetic as the original masterpiece."
