Three shows from The Ryan Calder Band
The RCB will be performing new songs from their latest album "On The Edge" in a production that incorporates animated and video multimedia. This year the band is building on last year's show, which featured nods to the likes of Ben E King, Cole Porter and Chuck Berry, and will also incorporate music from the first album "Better Days".
South African acoustic rock
The RCB, consisting of front man and songwriter Ryan Calder (guitar and vocals), Roberto Hemmero (bass), Rudi Engelbrecht (drums and vocals), Jon Calder (piano) and Tamlyn Calder (vocals), have garnered widespread praise for their brand of music, which they term "South African acoustic rock".
"We like making music that makes people feel better about the world," said Calder. "So far, it seems to be working." The air of positivity is a trait that has made the band one of KwaZulu-Natal's favourite acts and has helped them garner a large following in and outside of the province.
