KykNET Irene Summer Series

The KykNet Irene Summer Series concerts take place in the grounds of Smuts House Museum, which provides the perfect backdrop to a picnic with friends and family. December concerts see performances from Dozi, followed by Dan Patlansky and aKING to enjoy during the festive season.

On the 5 December, Dozi will be performing at the KykNET Irene Summer Series. One of the very few musicians in our country that has a fan base that not only crosses age boundaries, but also cultural boundaries, Dozi has become one of the most loved artists in South Africa. Dozi is an amazingly versatile talent and has the ability to sing from the heart.

Dan Patlansky is one of the busiest and most critically acclaimed and respected blues artists to ever come out of South Africa. Constant touring as a teenager, won Dan the hearts of even the most hardened blues critics. Performing on the 12th of December, this young blues guitarist has now released his album “Move My Soul” which showcases Dan's commitment and driving passion for Blues music featuring explosive mix of wild blues rock ‘n roll and breath taking blues balladeering.

To celebrate this year's Day of Reconciliation, on the 16th of December, Cape Town based band aKING brings you a fresh new sound that is an eclectic mix of foot-tapping beats and dynamically blended musical styles. With previous performances described as intense and relentless, this acoustic set is definitely one to see. Join them on the journey that is their mind-blowing and high energy live show.

Get together a group of friends and family and enjoy the music, relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking setting. Be sure to pack your picnic baskets, cooler boxes and umbrellas to enjoy a summer afternoon at one of the KykNet Irene Summer Series Concerts. Tickets for these events are available on Computicket at R50 or R50 at the gate. The event will start at 14:00 and last until 17:00.
