Salvation for SA
The tour will open on 26 December in Johannesburg, followed by a coastal holiday event at Durban's new mega-club Origin on 29 December. The new addition to Cape Town's nightlife, Crew, will host the massive New Year's Eve Salvation street party on 31 December - concluding Salvation's first-ever odyssey to South Africa.
The hottest guys
The Salvation SA Tour 2009 is made possible with the generous support of Gaydar.co.za: “Salvation and Gaydar have been partying together all over the world for over six years now and we're super excited to be presenting the South African leg of the Salvation World Tour 2009. Salvation parties are legendary, with the hottest guys filling the dance floor along with our sexy Gaydar Go-Gos, who will be on hand all night to meet and greet; see you there!” said Paul Beardshaw of Gaydar.
Salvation has become famous for consistently delivering quality productions and cutting-edge sounds by its stable of globally renowned DJ stars. The Salvation SA Tour 2009 will headline one of the brand's top resident DJs from London, Pier Morrocco, with support from a premier-quality line-up of local DJ talent. Other international Salvation-stars joining the trek down to the south include Troy Cox and Colin Jowell from Australia, as well as Masashi Osaku from Japan.
Two years in the making
Steve Elliot, from Salvation said: “We are really excited about the forthcoming tour of South Africa this December. It has been nearly two years in the making and we have worked hard, along with some of SA's biggest event organisers, to finally present Salvation to three of South Africa's biggest cities. Salvation is truly one of the biggest global gay parties in the world, and has enjoyed events in over 50 different cities during its 11-year reign. We pride ourselves in our family of top European DJs, along with our incredible performers from across the world. These elements create our unique blend, and ensure our continued success in staging world-class events!”
Salvation will be on four different continents for this year's New Year's celebrations: Africa, America, Europe and Asia. “But, we are especially excited about coming to South Africa, as it will be our first time visiting your shores,” he added.
One of Salvation's key credos is only to travel to the best, most state-of-the-art, and in-demand venues around the world. The local production will deploy the latest 3D video animation technology, combined with advanced intelligent light- and laser-projections. The sound systems for all three events are also currently being developed with the help of SA's top sound engineers to ensure Salvation in SA will be a soul-saving party experience. Salvation UK is also involved in the production of the events - in continuity with the design and décor of their parties, and levels of quality globally, including their famous “Angel Boys & Girls”.
