#MusicExchange: Meeting MJ impersonator; Dantanio
Dantanio, the South African performer and recording artist has studied Michael Jackson since the age of nine. He was selected for the Michael Jackson History Show by director Johnny Van Grinsven out of countless professional singers, dancers and impersonators in a yearlong search.
Dantanio, who hails from Kimberly, is now on stage in Cape Town with the Michael Jackson HIStory Show, which also visits Johannesburg and Durban. The show features live performances spanning his entire career including Thriller, Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Bad, Beat It, ABC, Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough, Human Nature, PYT, They Don’t Really Care About Us and many more.
We spoke to the accomplished impersonator Dantanio last week to get a handle on the man.
